Technisonic Industries Ltd. is a privately held Canadian Electronics
Manufacturer with principal offices in Mississauga, Ontario (Canada). The
company's head office and manufacturing facility is conveniently situated near
Toronto International Airport, and easily located by those attracted by the
outstanding technical capabilities and products of this unique RF equipment
manufacturer, or those attending technical training classes held regularly at
main offices. Toronto is the largest city in Canada and is the financial center
of the country. The company is established in a modern, well groomed industrial
area, surrounded by competent suppliers, access to good transportation
facilities and services, favored by an agreeable climate and a stable workforce.
Since 1990, Technisonic has focused its efforts on the development of aeronautical band VHF ground equipment and special mission airborne RF and audio communications systems. Technisonic is now well-established as a world leader in the development of aviation-related communications products. Building on its solid background of RF design expertise and innovation, the company has won the confidence of almost all major airlines and airport authorities who count on TiL system performance and reliability on a daily basis.
As Technisonic ground stations have become "industry standard" in the VHF/AM business for airline and airport operations, so too have the Company’s tactical airborne VHF, UHF and multi-band communications systems come to dominate the industry. Technisonic airborne communications systems are the "system of choice" for demanding tactical applications in the fields of Air Ambulance, Electronic News Gathering (ENG), Fire Suppression and Law Enforcement. Now Technisonic ACCESS/A mono and stereo audio control systems significantly advance the state of the art for high performance, complex (multiple user) helicopter installations.
Technisonic communications systems have been installed in virtually every kind of flying machine, and are in use daily with the US National Guard for which AWR have been developed for the UH-60 BlackHawk, the CH-47 Chinook, the UH-1 (all versions) and the C-130 Hercules transport. In 1997, Technisonic was selected by the Naval Airwarfare Center to provide VHF/FM communications systems for deployment in the Presidential Helicopter Fleet. Technisonic is a radio supplier to the US Forest Service and has developed several unique mission specific systems for that agency. In 1996, the Canadian Department of National Defense selected the Technisonic TFM-138D to update the airborne FM communications capability of Canadian Search and Rescue aircraft.
The company is a member of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and is involved in the development of the next generation digital, encrypted FM communications system (Project 25). Technisonic now provides airborne solutions to those Federal agencies who are required to become P-25 compliant. Technisonic is dedicated to the development of new and innovative ideas and products, and is constantly searching for ways to improve serviceability and to meet the unique and varied operational requirements of its customers.
